Joining Facebook is very simple. Search for Facebook on the internet and if you are not already a member then go through the ‘sign up’ process; All you need is an email address (which acts as your user identification) and a password of your choice. Once you have done this, search for Ballinalee Community on Facebook search facility and browse the brochure for all the news. You can also leave comments if you wish.

Lebeen Park Community Garden: Car Boot Sale and Stalls on Sunday 22nd July 2012 at 11am at Colmcille Community Center. Home Baking, toys, plants, flowers, vegetables, books, Bric-a-Brac and household items on the day. Refreshments including tea/coffee/soft drinks and scones also available. FUNDRAISER: There will be a fundraiser in aid of motor neurone care and research in Rawles lounge on the 31st Aug next. Various artists will appear on the night. Tickets are 5 euro and will be on sale throughout the county. Contact Nial Rawle for tickets locally.

TIDY TOWNS: Please help with keeping our village and surrounding roadways tidy by collecting litter strimming erecting flower boxes etc.

BABY BOY: Congrats to Noel and Claire Molihan Aughamore on the birth of a healthy baby boy recently. Mother and baby are both doing well.

COACHING: Coaching for all children 6-12 years starts this Friday at 7pm in Maguire Park. All parents and children are asked to attend.

TRACTOR RUN: Just a reminder of the Tractor Run on the Aug B/H weekend in Mostrim. Contact Michael on 087 2625134.

DUCK DERBY: Ducks are on sale for the annual duck derby on the River Camlin on Sunday August 5th. They cost 5 euro each and all funds go towards the local tidy towns group who fund the various schemes in the parish. Tidying the various estates church grounds ,GAA Grounds community centres etc. This is our main fundraiser so we need your financial support.

CLONBRONEY COMMUNITY GAMES: Well done to the boys U13 rounders team who reached the Leinster Final recently. Even though they had to settle for silver a great day was had by all in Carlow. The team were Charlie Reily,Cathal McGreal,Finn Brady,Evan Tully Daniel Reynolds,Killian Reynolds, Sean Farrell Patrick Reynolds,Robert Duff, Lee O’Leary Matthew Sheridan and Aaron Blessington. Many thanks to Mrs Farrelly & Derek Reynolds for all their time and commitment training the boys

SENIOR CITIZENS: We hope all our senior citizens enjoy their trip to the Cooley Peninsula today. Many thanks to all who supported the church gate collection which goes towards funding the trip.

BOTTLE BANK: A reminder to everybody that the bottle bank is for bottles and cans only and not for people’s household waste or cardboard boxes. A security camera will be installed shortly to stop illegal dumping which dirties our village.

CHAMPIONSHIP: The local Sean Connollys play in the c’ship on the w/e 28/29 of July against Longford Slashers .We ask all locals to support them.
