DEATH: Deepest sympathy is extended to the Cousins family Derreen House Clondra on the recent death of their father Fintan formerly of Leinster Rd Rathmines Co Dublin,who passed to his eternal rest in his 86th year. To his sons Mel,Aiden Ciaran daughter Ciaron and brothers sister daughters in law sisters in law,grandchildren,nieces nephews relatives friends and neighbours we extend our deepest sympathy. May he rip.

BIRTHDAY: Birthday greetings to Paul McDonnell Clondra & Leixlip who celebrated his 40th birthday on Thursday last. Best wishes & speedy recovery to Paddy Baxter and Stephanie Higgins Clondra ,back to full health.

CONGRATULATIONS: Congratulations to St Mel’s Musical Society on their excellent production of “Carousel” in the Back Stage Theatre last week. The singing and acting by all the cast members was outstanding this year. Congrats to Deirdre Leavy Scramogue on her outstanding performance in singing and acting ability was very professional in playing one of the lead parts “Carrie Pippridgee”. Congrats also to Liz Leavy Clondra on her excellent performance as “Mrs Mullin” and to Justin Forde Clondra who was involved in the chorus. Well done to all concerned.

DANCING: Sean Nos dancing takes place in the Camlin Bar Clondra every Thursday night 7 to 8pm. Children 3 euro adults 5 euro. Come along for the craic. For more information contact 043 33 26039.

CONGRATS TO TARMON MACRA: Congrats to our neighbours Tarmon Macra Group who won the All Ireland title at the Macra Drama festival with their play “The last of the Mochicans” recently in Portlaoise. They are staging this play for one night only on this Friday night 4th May in the Backstage Theatre Longford. Well worth a visit and best of luck to this very talented Macra Drama Group.

CONGRATULATIONS: Congratulations to the Longford team and especially to our neighbours Paul and David Barden Kilmore on the magnificent win against Wexford in the final of Division 3 league. What an achievement for Paul to lift a cup two years in succession. Longford was the only team in the entire league to remain unbeaten and we are all very proud of them.
