VINTAGE LAUNCH - On this Saturday night April 2nd Killeen/Bunlahy community group will launch their Vintage and static show in Creegan’s of Bunlahy with a host of Irish music.

VINTAGE LAUNCH - On this Saturday night April 2nd Killeen/Bunlahy community group will launch their Vintage and static show in Creegan’s of Bunlahy with a host of Irish music.

All local and visiting musicians are welcome and this promises to be a great night out with refreshments served and the usual raffle will be held. The vintage and static show will take place on Easter Sunday on the farm of John Joe and Anne Marie Reilly and family at Kilcourcey Edgeworthstown and the committee look forward to a great day with a bigger and better show this year.

THANKS

Killeen/Bunlahy community group would like to extend a sincere thank to everyone who helped to organise the great float for the St. Patrick’s day parade in Longford. Special thanks to Gregory Walker for making sure the float was safe and to the Brady family, Nathan, Stephen and Rebecca for the lovely music and also to Ciara Brady for the great job on the make up and having all looking so well. Thanks also to all the locals for their support and cheering us on. Well done to all.

REGISTRATION

Granard community and childcare group on the Hill will hold an registration evening on Thursday April 14th at 9-00pm and all intending children and parents are invited to attend.

DRAW

Ballymore Gaa held their monthly draw in Creegan’s on Sunday night last and full results will be included in next weeks notes.

WINNERS

Congratulations and happy spending to Dorrie McAndrew, Ferriskil on her big win in the St. Mary’s GAA club draw. Also to Dorrie’s daughter Michelle who won the Art competition in the St. Patrick’s day parade. A great week for the two ladies and well done

GIVE BLOOD

The opportunity to give blood will be available in St. Brigid’s community centre Loch Gowna on Wednesday and Thursday March 30th and 31st from 5-30pm to 8-30pm and donors are reminded to please note the revised clinic opening times

WELCOME HOME

We extend good wishes for a speedy recovery to good health to Michael Flynn Bunlahy, Owen Kearney Toneywarden and Rogie Martin Cartron who are now all recovering at home following a stay in Mullingar general hospital. We look forward to seeing all three out and about real soon.

SPONSORED WALK

The Granard branch of St. Christopher’s are holding their annual sponsored walk from Granard to Abbeylara on Sunday April 17th next leaving Granard health centre at 3pm. Sponsorship cards are now available from committee members or by calling to Frank McMahon on Market Street. Your generous support will be very much appreciated.

SWEEPS DRAW

Ballymore minor board are holding their annual Aintree Grand National Sweeps Draw on Friday night April 8th at 9-00pm. Cards and lines are now on sale and club members will be out and about in the coming weeks so your support will be much appreciated. Lines are 2 euro each or 3 for 5 euro and there is a total of 220 euro in prize money.

GET WELL WISHES

We send good wishes to anyone from the Area who is in hospital or who is recovering at home following an illness.
