Community organisations in Longford have received significant funding under the Community Services Programme (CSP) which is administered by the Department of Rural and Community Development.
Edgeworthstown & District Development Association Company has received a total of €38,066 in funding from the programme.
A total of €108,132 has been acquired through the CSP for Longford Warmer Homes Company.

Longford Women's Link has received €112,532; the Employment Development and Information Centre was allocated €152,798, while a total of €40,266 was allocated to Templemichael Parish Resources Company.
