Week-long closure of two roads set to cause delays for Longford motorists

The road closures on the L-1086 and L-1088 in Moatfarrell near Edgeworthstown will take place from Monday March 9 until Friday 13 from 8am-4pm each day

Longford motorists have been warned to expect delays this week as Longford County Council temporarily closes two roads in order to facilitate drainage works. 

The roads in question are the:

  • L-1086 Moatfarrell between its junctions with L-1079 (Old Post Office in Moatfarrell) and at the junctions of L-1091/L-1089 (ESB substation Bracklin Road in Edgeworthstown)  
  • L-1088 Moatfarrell between its junctions with L-1086 and L-5155

The closures will take place from Monday March 9 until Friday 13 from 8am until 4pm each day.  

Throughout the duration of the works, local diversions and a traffic management system - namely traffic lights - will be in place but delays should be expected. 

Funded by the local democracy reporting scheme
