AOIFE festival and events pop-up advice clinics return to Longford
The annual AOIFE (Association of Festival and Events) pop-up advice clinics are set to return to Longford, with clinics set to take place in Longford town on Thursday, February 28, at the Longford Arms Hotel from 10:30am to 1:00pm and at Skelly’s Bar, Ballymahon, from 2:00pm to 3:30pm.
AOIFE’s Executive Director and multi-media assistant will be travel the country again this spring season, in an effort to meet local member festival and event organisers. Modelled on other network offerings, the pop-up advice clinics are facilitated locally to allow organisers to meet AOIFE personnel and get advice on some of the problems facing them.
Founded in 1993, AOIFE is the fourth largest in Europe with over 200 members. AOIFE, through training, networking and advocating best practice, helps “not for profit festivals” reach and expand their local and international goals.
Topics covered at the clinics -
All interested attendees must register with the AOIFE Secretariat prior to the event, in order to book a 30-minute consultation with the team. The clinics are free for all AOIFE members to attend, with a fee of €50 for non-members. This fee can go towards purchasing a full AOIFE membership.
Priority will be given to member Festivals of AOIFE, but it is hoped that the programme will give newer Festival and Event organisers in the non–profit sector (sporting, charitable cause organisations) a chance to meet first hand with highly sought-after consultants in the sector.
The AOIFE team will bring their pop-up clinics to 40 locations throughout 20 counties before Easter and the remaining counties will have clinics by mid June. To register for the consultation and the 30 minute social media mentoring please contact Membership Officer Hilary on (090) 964 5831, email firstname.lastname@example.org or see www.aoifeonline.com/ for further information.
