The Leinster Property Auction finished their year of public auction events on a high note, selling 17 of the 19 lots offered at their final public of year, which took place last Wednesday, December 5.

In partnership with O'Neill McHugh Auctioneers, a fine three bed bungalow just outside Edgeworthstown, was offered for sale at Lisameen, Ballinalee.
The property received strong local interest in the lead up to the public auction, with bidding opening at €85,000 and continuing strong until the successful bidder raised their bidding paddle a final time, securing the property for €92,000.

Patrick Folan, company director said the success of the auctions was down to the large marketing campaigns the company undertook in Ireland and overseas.

“While this may have been the company’s final public auction event of the year, the auction team will be selling properties on our online auction website www.leinsterpropertyauction.ie right up to Christmas,” he added.

Over in Castlepollard, Co Westmeath, a four bed semi-detached house was sold in partnership with Sherry FitzGerald Davitt & Davitt.

The property at Water Street had several interested parties looking to secure the purchase at the auction on Thursday evening. After over a dozen bids the hammer fell at €92,000 – well above the advertised price of €75,000.

Meanwhile, the Leinster Property Auction is now taking entries for its ongoing online auctions the first of which for 2019 takes place in March.

“We would like to thank all our client and customers for their business in 2018 and we wish everyone a Happy Christmas and New Year,” Mr Folan concluded.
