‘Bressie’ was on hand in St Francis’ Hospital in Mullingar to officially open the radiology clinic for Alliance Medical - Europe’s leading diagnostic imaging company on Wednesday, November 16.
The Diagnostic Imaging centre in St Francis Private Hospital will offer fast access to a range of medical scans, including MRI, Ultrasound, DXA and X-ray to patients in the Westmeath and surrounding areas.
Commenting, Bressie said: “I have had my fair share of injuries growing up considering the amount of sport I played and I always had to travel to Dublin or further for an MRI. It's great to now have that service in the town.”
David Dooley, Regional Manager from Alliance Medical Ireland said: “With long waiting lists for scans throughout Ireland, there is a huge need for an accessible and affordable diagnostic imaging service for both public and private patients here. We have invested heavily in Ireland in the last year and will continue to do so to ensure patients in the country have fast access to the highest standard of medical scans both within hospitals and in primary care.”
