General election candidate James Morgan has called for local authority chiefs and Chamber of Commerce reprsentatives to ecplore the idea of opening an ice rink inside Connolly Barracks this Christmas.
The Independent Alliance candidate said it was time local officials started to “think outside the box” in a bid to add some extra excitement around the town.
“It’s time we started to examine how we can make the best possible use of what we have.
“I wonder would the organisers of the highly successful Summer Festival, the Chamber of Commerce and the Council be interested in trying something a little different to bring people into our town this Christmas.”
