The Marquee in Drumlish Festival had a successful launch in the Mill Bar on Friday, July 18, which gave a full set list of what was to be expected.

Boards of the marquee were used as a backdrop in the pub’s backroom, with a separate poster revealing what is on during the Declan Nerney night.

The set list has been revealed to include The Highschool Prophets, Ruaile Buaile, Una Healy, Jack Keogh, as well as the “Declan Nerney Orchestra”.

One of the main sponsors that was displayed in the room was the Mulleady Properties Company Ltd.

The overall night was not made up of speeches but a community get-together.

The committee, Fr Manning Gaels, as well as attendees got to be part of an ongoing photo shoot.

The ambience of country music in the background gave a delightful taster as to who will be performing over the weekend when the marquee is on in August, such as Mike Denver, Michael English and Declan Nerney.

Complimentary food was supplied to all there.

Chairman of Fr Manning Gaels, Mike Mulleady, said: “We run the marquee every year and put a lot of work into it.

"We look after the whole marquee.

"It is tough because it’s not a couple of weeks leading up to it but a long, long time.

"Last January and February, trying to get it set up.

"There is a great committee behind it for the marquee and Fr Manning Gaels.

"A load of teamwork. We have sponsors the whole time and are very grateful to them. If we didn’t get the sponsorship, we’d have nothing.

"The main thing is that it’s a really, really good line-up.”
The Marquee in Drumlish is on from August 15 to 18.
