Olivia Mollaghan
There is excitement and pride in Longford as local woman Olivia Mollaghan has been named as a finalist in this year's Miss Ireland competition. At just 22 years of age, Olivia is already making a name for herself both in the media world and on the national stage.
A former student of Meán Scoil Mhuire, Olivia graduated with first class honours in Communications from Dublin City University (DCU) in 2024. She now works as a News Coordinator with RTE. Olivia is well known on TikTok, where her engaging content has earned her a growing fanbase.
Olivia is proudly affiliated with her chosen charity 'Hygiene Hub', a charity providing essential hygiene products to those in need throughout Ireland.
She is the youngest daughter of Patrick and Anita Mollaghan, local business people in Longford town.

Discussing why she entered, Olivia said, “I do my own social media and I’ve been building it up since I was 17. I make my videos with no makeup, messy hair, and pyjamas. Not an embarrassing thing but that’s not been told on the internet. I want to be relatable. I graduated with first-class honours, but those things seem less relatable. I wanted to be the person to bridge the gap. I think that if someone can relate to the messy side, they can for the high standards.”
Her journey to the Miss Ireland final has been supported by her main sponsors, Sláinte Jewellery, Donlon's Newsagents and McGowans Bar in Dublin.
This year's competition includes a public vote, giving the Longford community a chance to get behind Olivia and show their support. Every vote counts and could help bring the Miss Ireland crown to Longford.
Olivia revealed, “I’m so excited. I’ve known that I'd be part of the competition since November but things are getting very real now. We’ve got events every week and the launch party last week. I got to see the girls again from the first round.”

Olivia shared how the Miss Ireland experience has provided her with new opportunities since graduating.
“The thing is about Miss Ireland and Miss World, you get to do charity and go to new places. It opens your eyes to people that need help and I wanted to throw myself into charity work.
“I haven’t had the opportunity to do that much up to this point, with me being in college. I’m excited to be a role model for younger girls that you can do anything you want to do.”
With poise, purpose and pride in her roots, Olivia is a shining example of what the next generation of Irish women can achieve.
The final takes place at the Knightsbrook Hotel in Trim on Saturday, June 14.
Miss Ireland can be voted for via the app (MI Org), which can be downloaded from the Google Play store, to choose who will be the winner of the finalists.
