Thousands of homes and businesses in Longford still without power in the wake of Storm Éowyn
A huge number of homes in Longford remain without power in the wake of Storm Éowyn.
According to the ESB's www.powercheck.ie website, there are numerous faults cross county Longford affecting thousands of homes and businesses.
The largest remaining faults appear to be in and around Lanesboro, followed by Ballymahon, Edgeworthstown and Longford town where outages are affecting thousands of customers.
None of the faults on powercheck.ie currently have an estimated restore time.

In the wake of Storm Eowyn, over 725,000 homes and businesses across Ireland were without power.
The ESB says it is assessing the damage to the electricity network caused by the recent weather event and will provide updates on the estimated restoration times as soon as crews have evaluated impacted areas.
