The expression “it's an ill wind that blows no good”, is particularly apt for fast food restaurant owners in Longford town.
With many homes in the hinterland of the county town without power, dining options are pretty limited. From early this afternoon Longford's restaurateurs have been doing a roaring business, with customers queuing out in the cold for a tasty treat.
Most people will be hoping that normal service will be restored soon, otherwise the Storm Éowyn may have as devastating an impact on waistlines as it did on skylines.
