Longford County Council crews begin massive Storm Éowyn clean up: Road closures, fallen trees, impassable roads and loose electrical wires

Longford County Council and ESB crews have been extremely busy in the aftermath of Storm Éowyn as the clean up gets underway.

Here is a sample of the incidents that the local authority crews have been dealing with since the record breaking storm.

Road closures

Longford County Council wishes to advise of the following Road Closure: Kenagh Village to McNiffs Cross on Saturday, January 25 from 9am - 12am. This closure is to facilitate ESB works following Storm Éowyn.

Longford County Council wishes to advise the road between Gaigue Cross and Leggagh Cross will be closed from 12 noon on Friday, January 24 to 6pm on Saturday, January 25 due to a fallen tree caused by storm Éowyn.

Traffic Lights out of service

Longford County Council wishes to advise that the traffic Lights at St. Mel's Cathedral Longford junction are currently out of service following storm Éowyn.
