Artist Francis Kelleher
Artist Frances Kelleher has an exhibition on display in Ballymahon that will be running until after the Christmas period with all proceeds going to charity.
Elegance, creativity and style are the bywords describing the charity art exhibition showcasing the latest work of the talented local woman.
The charming surrounds of the Skelly's Atrium will provide a pleasing backdrop for the artist's display.
The proceeds will go towards two charities: Unicef and St Vincent de Paul.

Frances stated all of the paintings are original works that were completed on location in a variety of places and this is the first time she has arranged and held a charity exhibition of this kind.
"It is just a spur of the moment notion that I got. I am by no means a wealthy person but at Christmas I will always give something to charity," she said. "This year I am thinking funds are never that easy to come by and it struck me, 'Gosh if I sold those paintings wouldn't it be terrific' so that is what I'm doing."
Frances stated it will be a "wonderful day" if she comes away after the exhibition is over without having to bring any of her paintings home with her.

Frances is the co-ordinator of Ballymahon Art Group and supports each member to express their individual interests, but is also an accomplished artist herself.
"I just flew with it, some of my friends, I have an art group that I tutor in in in Ballymahon and I've been doing it for many years," she said. "It's traditional style painting mostly, there is a little bit of abstract and hopefully it's well balanced work."
Frances said she will probably keep the framing costs but all of her sold paintings will be “going to charity”.
The exhibition remains open through Christmas and members of the public are invited along to view and perhaps purchase some of the art to support the two very worthy charities and a local artist.
