Darragh Greene and 6th Class pupils
Two time Olympian Darragh Greene recently popped in to his former national school where he received a rousing welcome from the current crop of pupils.
Principal of Scoil Mhuire Newtownforbes, Noel McKeon, welcomed the Olympic hero, Darragh, on his return visit to the school.
The get together follows a remarkable year for the gifted swimmer which included his participation in this year's Paris Olympics.

Darragh has now competed in the last two Olympics for Ireland. The children of Scoil Mhuire gave him a rousing reception for his visit.
Darragh visited the new school facilities including the new soft play area and school Library and sensory room. He spoke to the children about growing up in Newtownforbes, how he became a swimmer and his current life as a full time professional swimmer for Ireland.
The pupils were very curious and had many interesting questions for Darragh. The children and staff of Scoil Mhuire wish to thank Darragh for his visit and wish him the best of luck in the pool for Ireland in future competitions.
