Maura Higgins on I'm a Celeb

Maura Higgins, a local and international Longford celebrity is currently battling it out against the Australian wildlife.

Maura is among this years cast of 'I'm a Celebrity...Get me out of Here!' and has now joined the main camp.

While being challenged to eat some grim meals such as pig eyeballs in her first official challenge out of the Junkyard, she has truly had a special experience in the Jungle.

Now to make it even more memorable Maura has spent her 34th Birthday in camp.

Waking up in the Jungle she reflected “Birthday in the jungle! This is definitely going to be one I never ever forget.”

However, the Birthday thrill was short-lived as our poor Maura received quite the unique birthday present of cleaning the dunny with Coleen.

The birthday surprises continued as the campers were awoken in the night to a trip on the ‘Fright Bus’, and Ms Higgins who was unfortunately sat at the back would endure the longest trip.

We will see how she gets on in the next episode.

In other 'I'm a Celeb' news the camp woke up to an alarm of the musical kind courtesy of Dean who said, “Now that she’s out of the Leaders’ Lodge, Tulisa has warned me that there must be no musical theatre early in the morning, so I made it my mission to make sure the camp woke up this morning with the sound of lovely singing!”

Barry and Danny became the camp leaders and Dean once again set off to face another Bushtucker Trial.
Dean done himself proud this time setting his personal best score managing to secure 10 out of the 12 stars that were up for grabs.

Melvin and Tulisa took on the Deals on Wheels challenge which turned out to be a test of their mathematical skill through the counting of rubber ducks.
