Tailbacks formed on both sides as the tow truck removed the vehicle from the scene this morning
There were lengthy tailbacks just outside Lanesborough earlier following an incident on the busy N63 route.
Local Gardaí were on the scene, with one controlling oncoming traffic as the other spoke with a female.
With the road in question being the main direct route from Roscommon to Longford, long tailbacks quickly formed on both sides as a tow truck removed a black car from a gateway.
There was no other car involved.
