Newtownforbes Tidy Towns said there were two recent incidents of dumping on our beautiful walkway
There has been strong criticism of two illegal dumping incidents in a county Longford area in recent days.
Newtownforbes Tidy Towns was established with the aim of improving and maintaining the village environment to a high standard for the betterment of the local community.
However, two acts of illegal dumping were identified during the weekend and it caused disappointment and frustration
Newtownforbes Tidy Towns stated on their social media account on Saturday that the behaviour needs to be stamped out.
"These are just two photos of recent incidents of dumping on our beautiful walkway," they said. "Whoever is responsible for this disgusting behaviour needs to be brought to account."
The voluntary group stated indiscriminate dumping will attract vermin and this behaviour needs to be stopped.
