Maureen McMahon (née Doran) passed away on Sunday
Tributes have poured in following the sad death of beloved mother and grandmother Maureen McMahon (née Doran), late of Winetown, Rathowen and former employee of XTRAS, Town Centre Mall, Mullingar.
Maureen died peacefully, on Sunday, September 15, in Mullingar Regional Hospital surrounded by her family.
She is predeceased by her parents Vincent and Lena, sisters Teresa Coloe and Nuala Garry.
Maureen will be sadly missed by her loving family, her daughters Sharon Dunne, Helen McMahon, Sandra Murtagh and Antoinette McMahon and their father Tony, her adored grandchildren Kim, Colin, Melissa, Fiona, Steven and April, great-grandchildren Ruairí, Hannah, Noah, Adrian, Theo and Sofia, her brother and sisters Shamine, Margaret Tighe and Ann Stakem, uncles Jimmy McDermott (Ardagh), John (London), and Oliver (Mullingar), Aunt Una Reynolds (Aughnacliffe) brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins neighbours and friends.
Heartfelt condolences have been left on RIP.ie, from those who knew and fondly remembered Maureen, with one mourner writing,
"Sincere condolences to Sharon Helen Sandra and Antoinette on the sad passing of your Mam Maureen also to Maureen's grandchildren and great grandchildren, extended families and many friends. A wonderful woman. No words can mend the pain in your hearts but may the memories of the good times sustain you all."
Another wrote,
"My deepest condolences to Sharon, Helen, Sandra, Antoinette, and Melissa on the very sad passing of your Mother/Grandmother. Maureen was such a beautiful lady, thinking of you all at this very sad time. RIP Maureen."
While another wrote,
"Girls so sorry to hear of your Mammy's passing. A Lovely woman. May she rest in peace."
Funeral Arrangements
Reposing in Our Lady's Manor Chapel, Edgeworthstown, on Tuesday 17 from 6pm concluding with prayers at 7.30pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday 18 at 11am in St Brigid's Church, Ardagh.
Following Mass, Cremation will take place in Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Rd, Cavan at 2pm.
