In attendance were the leading providers of third level education and training in Ireland. Students were afforded the unique opportunity to discuss their individual career paths with experts from the various institutions.
Representatives provided invaluable insights into their respective institutions. Among those in attendance were UCD, DCU, University of Galway, University of Limerick, TUS, TUD, ATU, St.Angela’s Sligo, Dundalk IT , Cavan Institute, Longford College of Further Education, Agricultural Colleges from Mountbellew and Ballyhaise, LWETB Apprenticeships, ESB, King and Moffatt, Ericssons Athlone, Kiernan Steel Longford and Clarkes Machinery Cavan.

The enthusiasm from the students was evident from the start as they relished in the vast range of expert advice on hand. All students were provided with ample prospectuses coupled with helpful and informative advice. The Careers Expo was organised by Clodagh Killian and Paddy McPhillips Guidance Counsellor’s at Moyne CS. Afterwards they expressed their delight at the resounding success of the day. They were especially pleased that the students were afforded generous time to discuss their career options with such a varied choice of academic institutions and training centres, making informed decisions about college and course choice is such an important step on their journey to ensuring career fulfilment.
Following the overwhelming positive feedback from students, parents and teachers the school will be planning Career Expos in the coming years. Good news indeed for future students in the region.
