East Rouen visitors to Granard receive rapturous reception Picture: Lissette Carcamo
Delegates from East Rouen are visiting Granard Town and surrounds this week.
The delegation received a rapturous reception on Friday night at the Knights and Conquests Heritage Centre as part of Culture Night.
East Rouen is a region in Normandy with strong historic links to Granard.
It was once home to one Richard DeTiùit, who built Ireland’s highest Motte in Granard in 1199.
Only fitting that the delegation ascended the height to take in the views across nine different counties on Saturday last.
