NO WINNNER: There was no winner of the €15,000 jackpot. No winner of the The numbers drawn were 7, 18, 22 and 27. There were four 3 number winners and they were Raymond & Katie, Mary Cox, Frank Wallace and the four amigos.

The numbers drawn for the second jackpot of 3300 euro were 1, 6, 26 and 28. There was no winner of the jackpot. There was two 3 number winners, Martina Reid and Irene Penrose.

DEEPEST SYMPATHY

It's with great sorrow that we have to report the sad passing of Teresa Maguire (Joanstown, Rathowen). Teresa died at her home last Friday and was waked at her home on Tuesday and will be buried in Russagh Cemetery today, Wednesday 22nd. The whole community was in a state of shock with her sudden death and we would like to offer our sincere sympathy to her husband Vincent and her two sons Anthony and David, her parents and sisters, brothers, and extended family members.Teresa will be remembered with great fondness, may she rest in peace.

GUN CLUB

Just a note to remind every one that the gun club Christmas draw is taking place on the

26th December in Connaughtons pub, Rathowen. Any one with tickets or money to be returned to William McDermot or Cyrian Connaughton by Wednesday 22nd December. The club would like to take this chance to wish all the members and their families a very happy Christmas and peace full New Year, also on the night of the draw there will be a draw for the land owners.

STEPPING STONES

Stepping Stones Pre-School is holding a carol service for parents on Tuesday 21st December at 12 noon. Pre-school will finish on Thursday 23rd December at 1pm and re open on Monday 10th January at 9am. Stepping Stones after school will be having a Christmas party on Thursday 23rd December with lots of festive fun and surprise. School collections on this day will be at 12 noon in Rathowen and 12.30pm in Lismacaffrey. If you would like to book your child in for the party day please book in advance.

The school will close at 6pm on Thursday 23rd December and re-open at 2pm on 10th January. The Christmas raffle will be held on Wednesday 22nd in the main hall at 4.15pm, parents are invited to attend.
