Gold medal karate success for Longford student

Congratulations to Ballymahon Vocational School second year student Malachy Farrell on his recent Gold Medal success in the Cross Border Karate competition held on Saturday last in Burnfoot Donegal.

Now a Green Belt, Malachy trains out of Legan Dojo under the expert tutelage of Sensei Sean Donoghue.

Malachy's dedication and endeavour with the Legan troup has led to an invitation to train with the Hombo Dojo in Athlone with the Master Sensei Patrick Beaumont.

This Dojo of renown is one of the leading clubs of the Matsubayashi Shorin Ryu style of Karate.
