The final preparations for an exciting backstage performance are being put in place as two local musicians take on the most influential modern singer songwriter.
Acclaimed musicians Alias Fitz and Shane Kennedy join forces for an unforgettable celebration of rock's greatest icon - Bob Dylan.
“They have really captured the spirit of Dylan with their set of work. It’s an homage to the greatest singer songwriter in music and also an exploration of the many personas behind the man, myth and legend,” the Leader was told.
DYLAN DYAD is a show featuring classics, rarities and crowd favourites. Pauric Fitzpatrick, aka Alias Fitz, and performance artist Shane Kennedy celebrate the work of music’s greatest icon, as DYAD takes the audience on a journey through Bob Dylan’s most beloved songs.
Unique amongst his contemporaries, Dylan’s body of work is widely regarded as having the most significant impact on the landscape of songwriter of the 20th Century. His work continues to be as relevant today as it was when he first began.
From "Blowin' In The Wind" to "The Times They Are A-Changin'", this tribute to Bob Dylan explores his beginnings in Greenwich Village right through to his Never-Ending Tour Era.
Together, Alias and Shane have curated a unique show that takes the audience on a journey through the many musical lives of the legendary Bob Dylan.
Seán Ó Cinnéid said of the evening: “It's a curated set of music walking you through the songbook of Dylan from his Greenwich Village days to his Rollin’ Thunder Revue.”
This is set to be a magic night in Longford’s Backstage Theatre on May 6th.
