A sum of €300,000 in minor works funding has been paid this week to primary and special schools in County Longford

€300,000 in minor works funding has been paid this week to primary and special schools in County Longford.

Minister for Education Norma Foley made the announcement and outlined that schools will have the autonomy to use this funding for maintenance and small-scale improvements to school buildings and grounds.

Minister Foley said: “Minor works payments are a vital resource in terms of supporting the operation of schools generally and to address issues at local level.”
