One lucky Longford couple will finally get the chance to walk down the aisle, after emerging victorious from the ‘Win Our Wedding’ competition.
Sharena Swaris and John Mahon entered the competition, after the economic downturn forced them to postpone their wedding, and instead spend their savings on the cost of day-to-day living.
The couple have been together for 11 years and have one daughter, Shauna. Speaking to the Leader, Sharena explained that they saw the competition on Facebook, and decided to enter, recruiting friends and family to help out in the voting process, and creating fliers to spread the word.
The happy couple are thrilled with the win, and are excited for their big day, set to take place in November 2014.
Sharena is very grateful to all who helped the couple in the competition. “I want to thank my customers from the Gallery Cafe because they’ve done a lot, and my family and friends.”
