Alert issued over chemical risk
A product recall has been issued for balloons sold in Ireland due the presence of a chemical which could present a cancer risk.
The recall has been issued by the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC).
The risk presented by this product is chemical. The products contain an excessive number of N-nitrosatable compounds which are harmful to the health of consumers and can lead to cancer.
The brand is Unknown. The type/number of models is 0406407. The ASIN number is B09CK6QLKS. The barcode is X001H78AQT.
This product was sold on the Amazon Platform.
According to the CCPC, there are 29 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.
Anyone who purchased one of these products, is advised to discontinue use immediately, discard the product and keep out of the reach of children.
