Two projects in Longford are to receive just over €40,000 under the State's Historic Structures Fund (HSF)
Minister of State for Heritage and Electoral Reform, Malcolm Noonan TD, has announced that 95 heritage projects across the country will benefit from a total of €4.5m under this year’s Historic Structures Fund (HSF), with €42,250 being awarded to 2 projects in Longford.
Ledwithstown House, Ballymahon: funding of €32,250 for repair works including the inspection and repair of chimney stacks and casings.
98 Bar, Ballinamuck: funding of €10,000 for essential maintenance of thatch roof to include redressing of roof, bluestone treatment, patchwork, and new 48ft block ridge.
The HSF is one of two schemes which work in partnership with owners and the 31 local authorities to protect our built heritage.
