Longford woman, Lynsey Bennett, has returned from Germany a week early with a positive attitude following holistic treatment which has given her body the reset she needed.
“I am so happy with how things are going,” said Lynsey via social media on Thursday.
“(I) even managed to put on 2.3kg, which after three months of severely dropping weight and not being able to get it to stabilise is amazing.”
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has had a major impact on her decision as the tragedies of what are going on see families torn apart.
“I am missing the kiddies (Zoe and Hailee) so much and even more when I see all that is happening in the world which also terrifies me also being a lot closer to it if things started to spread even more and I had to leave in a hurry - it takes me two days, not just two hours on a plane,” she said, referring to the journey by boat which she took because flying would put her at risk of blood clots.
Lynsey is looking forward to starting a new routine to continue on her journey to better health before returning to the Arcadia clinic in April to continue her treatment.
“The universe has had my back with this journey and the decision to go with my gut and looking at my body medically holistically aka whole body, not just trying to attack the problem aka cancer, it’s looking at my entire make up,” she said.
“Recharge myself, mind, body and spirit and taking a look at the full picture to see what isn’t working to let my immune system let cancer grow.
“I’ve been told that we all have cancer cells floating around our body every day and it’s only in the right terrain (aka the unhealthy one with enough factors) that cancer starts to stick and not be eliminated from my body… which makes perfect sense to me, because the second I started to change my ways over a year ago (after four years of being told eat and do what you want makes no difference).
“Suddenly news that in months this would take over my body was brought to a halt for an entire year and it was only when I went back to trying harsh things that it started again as harsh treatment affected my immune system.
“Which for other people harsh treatment is a path they rather go but I am not other people, I am me. I truly hope that we find a way of opening this other door to others in Ireland.
“Unfortunately some treatments aren’t allowed here and both conventional and holistic aren’t combined in one centre. It’s not just for cancer this would benefit.
“Ireland/Longford’s Centre of holistic excellence here we come some day.”
