Health bosses are facing calls to provide additional financial supports to Longford's ailing home care sector
Health Minister Simon Donnelly is coming under pressure to come to the aid of Longford's homecare industry which is at “breaking point”.
The call was made at last week's meeting of Longford County Council by Fine Gael Cllr Garry Murtagh.
The north Longford based elected representative told of how he had been “inundated with phone calls” from members of the public concerned over they will get the service or the level of care they need.
