A driver has been arrested by Longford Roads Policing Unit who stopped a vehicle in Longford town this week.
Enquiries carried out by gardaí showed that the driver had no driving licence or insurance. The river also tested positive for cannabis.
Gardaí arrested the driver and seized the vehicle.
Court proceedings will follow.
