Ballymahon native PJ Walsh is the latest candidate to enter the 2019 local election race
Ballymahon man PJ Walsh has thrown his hat into the ring for the local elections, making him the twelfth candidate to enter the race.
Mr Walsh will be running as an Independent candidate and said that it was the rental hikes in local authority housing that prompted him to run.
He will run alongside fellow Independent candidates, Tony Moran, Charlie McMonagle and Mark Casey, Fianna Fáil candidates Mick Cahill, Pat O'Toole, Brigid Duffy and John Kenny, Sinn Féin's Geraldine Ryan Devlin and Fine Gael's Paul Ross, Colm Murray and Gerald Farrell.
