Funding boost for Melview National School, Longford

Melview National School

Melview National School has received a funding boost for a new classroom, it has been announced.

A Co Longford national school has been given a funding boost by government bosses, it has been announced.

Cllr Micheàl Carrigy welcomed the announcement by Minister for Education Joe McHugh of funding for Melview National School


The funds provide for a mainstream classroom inc en suite toilet and a new w/c for assisted users.


Cllr Carrigy is also calling on Longford County Council to carry out works to provide a footpath/cyclepath to the school from the Drumlish Road in the interest of safety for the large number of children to attend the school from the various estates including Foynescourt and Clonbalt Woods.
