Sixth man arrested in connection with violent Strokestown incident in December

Strokestown family subjected to forced eviction critical of An Taoiseach and 'condemn all forms of violence'

A 50-year-old man has been arrested as part of ongoing investigations into incidents that took place at Falsk, Strokestown, Co. Roscommon on in December.

The man was arrested in Co Roscommon today (Thursday), and is currently detained at Castlerea Garda station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939.

Investigations are ongoing.

This is the 6th individual arrested as part of the investigation to date, two are currently before the courts.
