A vehicle, which was set ablaze in Strokestown today,
A retired Garda who was injured at the scene of a Strokestown eviction was from Longford, it has been confirmed.
The incident took place on Tuesday, December 12th last when a number of men came to the house to evict the residents of the farmhouse in Falsk.
The eviction has sparked an angry response with many people objecting to the involvement of a private security firm.
In the early hours of this morning, dozens of men arrived at the farmhouse and eight security men were injured, four vehicles set alight an a dog put down following injury.
