Longford has third highest number of household black bin collections

Longford county has been named as the county with the third highest proportion of household waste collected in black bins.

In data published by the Central Statistics office, Longford featured close to the summit of the list for having almost two-thirds of household waste collected in black bins. The CSO say that 60.8% of households in Longford county have their waste collected in black bins.

Meanwhile, Monaghan topped the charts with a total of 65% of households using black bins, while Donegal recorded 64% of households having their waste collected in black bins.
