Creative Ireland funding consultations to take place for Longford groups next week

The Creative Ireland Longford Creativity and Culture Programme 2019 is now open. A call for applications for funding went out in December 2018 with a closing date of Thursday, January 31, 2019. This has now been extended to Thursday, February 7.

To assist you in completing the application form, or finding out more about Creative Ireland as a possible funding partner for your event, please visit us at one of our open Information sessions beginning next Monday.

Members of the Longford Creative Ireland team will be available to discuss your project with you in the following venues:

* Longford Library, Monday, January 28, from 5- 7pm
* Ballymahon Community Library, Tuesday, January 29, from 5-7pm
* Granard Community Library on Thursday, January 31, from 5pm to 7pm

This is your opportunity to learn more about how Creative Ireland Longford can support you in ensuring your proposed idea, event/festival etc is a success in 2019. Last year, almost 40 exciting new projects from across the county received funding, including the Padraic Colum International Literary Gathering, the Still Voices Short Film Festival , the revival of the Granard Harp Festival, Cruinniú na nÓg, Ardagh Heritage and Creativity Centre Scealta Beo Storytelling festival and many more.

The Longford ‘What’s On Guide’ to events happening across the county, will be published shortly and we want to include every cultural event happening in the county providing information over the course of this year.
