Longford weather alert: Met Éireann issues new warning for today
Met Éireann has issued a new Weather Warning for today for Leinster, Munster, Cavan and Monaghan.
The Status Orange Weather Warning came into place at 7am this morning and is in place until 6pm this evening.

The Warning is for some snow this morning, with widespread treacherous surfaces due to ice and lying snow.
Rain will begin to spread from the south today and this will start the melting process with potential flooding.
