Bin collections in Longford cancelled due to heavy snow

If you've looked out the window this morning, you'll know that you'll have trouble dragging your bin out to the gate, so it comes as no surprise that Mulleadys will not be collecting today.

Mulleadys Ltd. alerted customers do the disruptions yesterday evening via text message. A statement on the company's website read that "due to adverse weather conditions and unsafe conditions of roads", all collections scheduled for today have been cancelled.

"We are monitoring conditions and normal collections will resume as soon as road conditions improve. All effected customers will be notified of any changes via sms text in due course."

Mulleadys facilities and offices in the following locations will remain closed until further notice:

  • Cloonaugh, Drumlish, Co. Longford
  • Westlink Business Park, Athlone Road, Co. Longford
  • Unit 16/17, Mullingar Business Park, Co. Westmeath
  • Zone C, Clonmore Business Park, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath

"We apologise for any inconvenience cause but are sure you will appreciate that the safety of our staff and the public are a priority at this time," the statement concluded.
