Longford Gardaí urge homeowners to be vigilant of banknote sellers

A warning has gone out to Longford people to be wary if someone calls to their home selling old banknotes.

Community Alert groups issued a warning on Friday afternoon urging people to keep a look out for a suspicious 181 C registered white transit van.

The van and its occupants had reportedly called to houses in the Ballymacormack area outside Longford town and they were attempting to sell old bank notes.

Gardaí are asking people that may have any information to contact them at 043 33 50570.
