PV Fallon's in Longford town is to re-open, it has emerged
Landmark pub and restaurant PV's in Longford town has been sold and is to re-open under new owners.
The Leader was first to break the story on its website, longfordleader.ie last Wednesday where details of the takeover were revealed.
The establishment went into receivership five years ago with the loss of 20 jobs.
Despite a number of attempts to secure a new owner for the premises, it has remained closed ever since.
However, at a sitting of Longford District Court last Tuesday an ad-interim transfer of a licence was granted.
In granting the licence, Judge Hughes noted the historic importance that was attached to PV's.
