An accident has been reported on the R393 Ardagh to Longford road this morning
Emergency services are currently at the scene of an accident on the main Ardagh Road to Longford.
It's believed at least two, or possibly three cars are involved in what is one of the most commonly used routes to and from the south Longford area.
There are no further details at this stage as to the seriousness of the accident.

Those conditions have brought with it cautionary advice from Longford County Council to road traffic users this morning.
In a statement, the local authority said the R198 between Granard and Ballinalee is partially blocked at present by trucks and drivers.
Motorists are being advised to avoid the area and divert via the N55 Granard to Longford road.
Caution is likewise urged on the R198 Drumlish to Arva road
