Laura Ward cuts an ecstatic figure following her crowning as Longford Rose 2017
Longford Rose Laura Ward, along with 24 other Roses and the 2017 Rose of Tralee Jennifer Byrne will travel to Vesnova Orphanage in Belarus with Adi Roche's Chernobyl Children on February 14.
They will be caring for the sick children who are victims of the awful Chernobyl nuclear tragedy which happened in 1986.
The trip is a tradition within the Rose of Tralee festival however this year, the orphanage is stretching itself to cater for the huge interest in Roses volunteering in the orphanage.
