Edgeworthstown house and land to feature in upcoming auctions

Two land  auctions worth noting are taking place in the coming weeks  in the region.

First of all, a residential farm consisting of 136 acres at Slatta, Rooskey will be auctioned in the Longford Arms on Thursday, December 1 at 3pm.  This is a large pocket of land and it is bound to attract a significant amount of interest throughout the region.

The selling agent is Fintan McGill of Sherry Fitzgerald McGill in Longford town. Telephone 043-3345822 for more information about this prime sale.

Meanwhile Murtagh Bros is the selling agent for a  fine house along with 26 acres at Lismagooneen, Edgeworthstown that  will go up for public auction on Friday, December 2 in the Longford Arms Hotel at 3pm.

The two-storey farmhouse is in need of refurbishment but has many original features.  The lands are excellent quality with good road frontage.

“The house is a good, sound solid structure,” Paul Murtagh of Murtagh Bros told the Longford Leader.  It includes many original features throughout.

Referring to the land, Mr Murtagh said it was “really good land and there’s good road frontage”.

The land is all in one block and there on some old stone farm buildings in the yard.

“All in all, it’s a highly desirable property,” Mr Murtagh concluded.
