CoderDojo Longford makes its highly-anticipated return this Saturday, October 15
This year CoderDojo Longford will be running two rooms, one for Scratch and Code Academy and a new robotics and electronics room.
A new team of enthusiastic Mentors with multi-discipline backgrounds will lead the workshops, but parents are expected to remain for the duration of the session for the first few weeks. Children under 10 years must always be accompanied.
CoderDojo mentors children through current available systems and facilitates their interest in software, technology, engineering and maths. They learn how to code, develop websites, apps, programs, games and explore technology in an informal and creative environment.
There is a focus on community, peer learning, youth mentoring and self-led learning with an emphasis on openness, helping others and showing how coding is a force for change in the world.
Attendees must register through Eventbrite and can either search for the event or email coderdojolongford@gmail.com for an invite. New mentors and members are always welcome.
