National Pitch and Putt finals held in Ballinalee

The Acres Pitch & Putt Club in Ballinalee was once again the venue for the HSE Community Games National Pitch & Putt Finals this year and as with previous years, The Acres proved to be the perfect location for this national final. 

The event was staged in conjunction with the HSE Community Games National Finals Festival which took place in Athlone Institute of Technology over the past two weeks.  The Longford results from games in Athlone will appear in the next edition of the Longford Leader.  

Longford Community Games Chairperson and National Vice President Joe Fox once again thanked The Acres Pitch & Putt club for their co-operation in hosting the National Pitch & Putt Finals and commended them on the wonderful condition of the grounds.  

The winners of the competitions are as follows:

U16 Boys: 1st Westmeath; 2nd Longford- Granard; 3rd Offaly; 4th Clare

U16 Girls: 1st Wicklow; 2nd Longford - Clonbroney; 3rd and 4th Limerick.

The names of the winners are: 

Pitch and Putt U-16  Boys

1st Aaron Kennedy, Jack Buckley, Nicholas Isdell, Shane Williams, Thomas Kennedy (Collinstown-Fore, Westmeath). 

2nd Aaron Brady, Ben Martin, Jamie Flynn, Jordan Martin, (Granard, Longford).

3rd Adam Fitzgerald, James Nolan,  Kieran Riley, Ronan McNamara, (Birr, Offaly).

4th Cian Fawl,   Colm Flynn,  Noel Flynn, Dara Casey, (Sixmilebridge-Kilmurry, Clare)

Pitch and Putt U16 Girls

1st Anna Delehunt,  Eabha Siun Fleming, Lauren Ryan,  Niamh O'Toole, Poppy Meehan (BBKR, Wicklow).

2nd Bronagh Rawle, Ciara Heaney, Emily Reilly, Katelyn Farrell,  Laura Tully,  Rhona Conlon, Shauna Heaney,  Shauna Rawle, Tara Spollen, (Clonbroney, Longford).
