All set for Mohill Show this weekend

On Sunday next August 21, it’s a case of all roads lead to Mohill for their 89th Annual Agricultural Show Day at the Sports Complex and McGowan’s Field on the Cloone Road.

The Leitrim Irish Draught Breeders Association  will host the Final of the Leitrim Irish Draught Breeders Championship at 3pm on the day, while the main features in the Cattle Section will be the Special Beef Classes at 1pm, sponsored by Kevin P Kilrane & Co Solicitors, Mohill and the Aurivo Co-Operative-sponsored Breeding Heifer and Weanling Classes and the Final of the Co Leitrim Calf Championship sponsored by the Logan Family, Corner House, Mohill.

In the Complex Building, as well as viewing the fantastic exhibits, the Aidan Dockery 1916 Collection is a must-see.  This is a most comprehensive collection of the History and the Commemorations surrounding 1916.

Barbara Niblock of Barbara’s Fashions/Gannon’s Main Street will host a Fashion Show at 1pm with Nora Fitzpatrick, Colour Consultant giving advice and compering the Fashion Show.

Nevin Cody, magician, will be entertaining the young folk with his Magic Show and of course the afternoon programme includes live entertainment with the ever popular Looney Hoppers.

The Committee will have a Shuttle Bus Service on the half hour from Paul’s, Main Street, so patrons are encouraged to park and use the Bus.

Show Day will end with great entertainment from Tony Marren in Beirne’s Bar, Hill Street with the Raffle taking place on the night.

The Mohill Show Committee are deeply indebted to their many loyal and generous sponsors who make this  fantastic local event possible. Don't miss a great day out.
