Three males, two aged in their 20s and a juvenile, will appear before Longford District Court this morning (Tuesday, May 14) in connection with the seizure of weapons during a car search.
Gardaí in Longford seized a number of offensive weapons following the search of a vehicle at approximately 11:45pm on the night of Sunday, May 12.

A garda spokesperson outlined, "Gardaí stopped and conducted a search of the car on the Athlone Road, Ballymahon.
"Two men (aged in their 20s) and a male juvenile were arrested at the scene and were detained at a garda station in Co Longford under Section 4, Criminal Justice Act, 1984 in relation to the seizure.
"All three males have since been charged and are due to appear before Longford District Court on Tuesday, May, 14 at 10.30am.
"Investigations are ongoing."
