Niamh Donlon: 'Granard is a thriving town and I am looking forward to working with the local community'
Granard Credit Union have announced that Niamh Donlon (pictured) has been appointed to the role of Manager of the north Longford financial institution.
The former Branch Manager for Ulster Bank in Longford town took up the role this week.
Since its establishment in 1981, Granard Credit Union has been a pivotal part of the locality, supporting its members and providing a range of financial services at attractive rates to the local community.
Ms Donlon takes up the role previously held by Marie Scanlon, the Office Manager of Granard Credit Union.
The new Granard CU manager is a former member of the board of St Mel's Musical Society and a former Longford Chamber President.

The Board of Directors of Granard posted to social media about the appointment of Ms Donlon, who becomes the Manager of Granard Credit Union starting on Tuesday, March 19.
In the post the financial institution said: “We look forward to working with Niamh to develop the Credit Union and its services from our members into the future.
“The board are delighted that Marie is staying on with us to ensure a smooth handover to Niamh.”
Speaking to the Leader about her assignment Ms Donlon said: “I'm delighted to be appointed and that Granard Credit Union have selected me for this challenging role.
“It's great to be working close to home. Granard is a thriving town and I am looking forward to working with the local community,” she concluded.
